Jamung: On 'Not-So-Good Result'

~ Konvokesyen UUM Ke-22 : 05/10/2009 ~
Basically, Abang Mat's application (postgraduate study) was rejected so far due to his not-so-good university result. Does it matter ... because:
  1. LOUIS PASTEUR was rated as the slowest learner in his chemistry class.
  2. ALBERT EINSTEIN was once a high school dropout.
  3. THOMAS EDISON (at the age of six) was sent home from school with the note saying, "TOO STUPID TO LEARN."
Why do those great people were so successful in the later part of their lives? So, do not allow our not-so-good university result to interfere with our dream. As long as we passed our undergraduate exam, we are entitled to pursue whatever specialization (through postgraduate study) we are interested in, as long as we are willing to work hard.
Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
Catatan:
1. Bagi ayah Solehah, Pasteur, Einstein & Edison ialah contoh-contoh 'classical'. In today's modern world, kita perlu dapat an excellent result untuk mempastikan laluan yang selesa.
2. Begitu juga dengan sebarang kegagalan, harus disusuli dengan usaha yang lebih.
