Personal: Cousins

~ Sohehah & Cousin Syafiq ~

As we have a big family members, Solehah has more than a dozen of cousins. Solehah's father has four brothers - Wa Yon, Pak Ndak Cet, Pak Cik Khir & Pak Su Mer. The mother has a brother - Uncle Din & 6 sisters - Mak Caq (passed away a few years ago), Mak Ngah Zah, Mak Lang Minah, Mak Teh Mas, Mak Cik Sham & Cu Lom.

Most of the cousins are very close to Solehah. One of them is Syafiq (Pak Ndak Cet's eldest son) who is now studying at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. While managing this blog, I realized that he is one of the follower. He posted a comment specially dedicated to Zakwan - Solehah's second brother.

Jamung: Tentang "Menuntut Ilmu"

~ Sembahyanglah sebelum disembahyangi ~

Rukun Islam merupakan perkara pokok dalam Islam. Selain itu, Islam juga amat menganjurkan umatnya agar menuntut ilmu. Orang yang menuntut ilmu amat tinggi kedudukannya dalam Islam. Rasullullah S.A.W. bersabda (bermaksud), "Menuntut ilmu adalah wajib kepada lelaki & perempuan muslim."

Dalam hadis yang lain, Rasullulah S.A.W. bersabda (bermaksud), "Barang siapa yang berpergian untuk menuntut ilmu pengetahuan, dipermudahkan jalannya ke syurga." Justeru itu, bertuahlah mereka yang sedang menuntut ilmu kerana boleh mempraktikkan kedua-duanya (Rukun Islam & Ilmu).

Catatan:

Hanya orang Islam Malaysia yang terlalu memilih tempat untuk bersolat. Hakikatnya sembahyanglah di mana sahaja. Allah Maha Pemurah & Penyayang.

Anekdot: Senyum

~ Solehah' Cousins: Odah, Aton, Duan & Haikal ~

Kekerapan membawa Solehah menjalani rawatan di pelbagai hospital kerajaan tidak begitu dirasai kepenatannya. Hal demikian adalah kerana selain menerima layanan (95.5%) yang memuaskan, mesra & amat bertimbang rasa, kami juga mengalami beberapa insiden yang mampu membuatkan kami tersenyum. Antaranya:

1. Pernah ditanya oleh seorang jururawat sama ada penulis tahu menulis ketika diminta mengisi borang pendaftaran kemasukan ke wad. Sambil senyum penulis menjawab tahu sikit-sikit.
2. Pernah juga ditanya oleh seorang jururawat sama ada 'bos' penulis ada balik kampung. Setelah difahami yang dimaksudkan ialah 'Pak Lah' (sekarang Tun) sebagai 'immediate bos', penulis menafikannya. Namun, lagi kuat dinafikan lagi tidak dipercayai. Akhirnya, penulis hanya mampu senyum, apabila juruawat itu berkata, "Kalau mengaku pun apa salahnya, kami bukan nak minta tolong apa-apa."
3. Ketika sedang menunggu Solehah & isteri di tempat menunggu teksi di hadapan sebuah hospital, seorang hamba Allah bertanya sama ada penulis seorang pemandu teksi. Penulis senyum seakan mengiakan - agar yang bertanya berasa selesa. Namun apabila diminta hantar ke suatu destinasi, penulis terpaksa berterus terang.
4. Sering ditanya sama ada Solehah seorang cucu. Lazimnya, penulis akan hanya senyum tanpa memberi jawapan. Pernah Solehah yang mendengar soalan tersebut berkata sambil ketawa besar, "Ye, ye ... ayah sudah tua!"
5. Kerana susah hendak melintas jalan di dalam kawasan sebuah hospital (kenderaan tidak mahu berhenti) semasa hendak menghantar Odah (another cousin of Solehah), penulis berpura-pura berjalan macam orang patah kaki untuk meminta laluan.

Personal: FAQ

~ Solehah & her Mak Teh at UUM 2005 Konvokesyen ~

These were the FAQ (frequently asked questions) from the unknown individuals (strangers) to her parents when they saw Solehah:

1. Can she talk?
2. Does she go to school?
3. Is it to the normal school?
4. Why don't you send her to a special school (for the handicap)?
5. Can she read?
6. Can she write?
Catatan:
1. Dalam Peperiksaan Suku Tahun yang baru diumumkan, Alhamdulillah, Solehah dapat nombor 1 di dalam Kelas 2 Kasih. She got all A's except for English & Scinece (B only). Anyway we are happy plus a little worry since now she is in 2 Sabar (the streaming class - all the best students there).
2. InsyaAllah Solehah will attend another 'konvokesyen, at UUM this year. Congratulation Siti Nazrah (Solehah's Cousin - Mak Teh's daughter) who had her 'konvokesyen' recently at UUM.

Tahfifah: On 'Intolerable Parents'

~ Solehah's Mum & brothers - Adi & Zakwan ~

Sometimes parents do things that are intolerable to their children & they (the children) often have this in mind, "I can't stand what they are doing!"

Bear in mind that their intention is always good. Only parents do the best for their children. They have tried very hard to LOVE their chlidren with "the BEST way they know, even though it might not be the best way for the children."

So, look at the HEART & not the BEHAVIOR!!! Love your parents while they are still around.
