~ Dream World, Bangkok: December, 2009 ~While surfing the Internet this morning, I came across an advertisement of a video on how to get a better grade in our exam. According to the creator (a PhD holder who is also an author of a book), in five minutes his new video will teach five things to do that will ensure a better exam result. It is a product of a money guaranteed back. The video will be given 'free as a gift' (his exact saying) for every order of his book.
If 'free as a gift' is the same meaning as 'a free gift', so:
What is a free gift? Aren't all gifts free?
Catatan:
1. Susah nak faham orang 'bijak pandai' (apa lagi ada PhD) jika cakapnya lebih kurang sama dengan geng 'gores & menang' iaitu "encik bertuah kerana dapat hadiah percuma" - bukankah hadiah sememangnya percuma!
2. Semua game (tempat) dalam Dream World, Bangkok adalah free (bila kita beli tiket pakej) kecuali naik gajah.
